A resident of Prouvy, a town in the North, said he had seen a feline on the loose several times near the town’s old station. He filmed the animal, which could be a lioness. The search continues to find him, Thursday, March 2.

In Prouvy (North), a wild beast prowls, Thursday March 2. The authorities have been trying to catch him for three days now, without success. At the end of his garden, Antonio Sirna, a local resident, sees him almost every day. He was even able to film the animal. With his agile gait and robust build, for Antonio Sirna, there is no doubt: it is a feline, and not just any. The local resident believes that “It can’t be anything but a lioness”.

An area where game abounds

On foot, he spends his time scanning the surroundings of his house, where there is a railway lined with trees where game abounds. Enough to attract the predator. The problem is that it is also a residential area. Hundreds of people live nearby. The risk is therefore sufficient to worry the mayor. Despite the images, the elements to identify the animal remain fragile, according to the French Office for Biodiversity. In the meantime, the search continues.
