North American Box Office | Deadpool & Wolverine Continues Its Domination

(Los Angeles) Deadpool & Wolverinethe latest Marvel movie, is leading the North American box office for its second weekend on screens, according to projections Sunday from Exhibitor Relations.


With $97 million in revenue between Friday and Sunday in theaters in the United States and Canada, the film has a total of $395.6 million since its launch the previous weekend.

This is the eighth highest total in North American box office history for a second week of operation, according to the trade magazine. Variety.

The latest film from Warner Bros. Studios, Trapfollowed with $15.6 million in revenue. “A sluggish launch for an M. Night Shyamalan suspense thriller,” according to David Gross of Franchise Entertainment Research, after “lukewarm” reviews.

The feature film, in which Josh Hartnett plays a serial killer, was largely financed by Shyamalan himself.

The animated film from Universal Studios Despicable Me 4the latest installment in the Minions universe, reached $11.3 million in its fifth weekend of release, bringing in a whopping $314 million on North American screens (and $386 million internationally).

Inside Out 2Pixar’s animated film about the throes of adolescence, has grossed $6.7 million. With more than $1.5 billion worldwide, it is the highest-grossing animated film in history, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
