“Nomade” by Valentine Lambert, a nice musical journey

In a few years, Valentine Lambert has imposed its own folk repertoire. She signs intimate songs evolving between the great American spaces and the pop country spirit. If his influences are numerous, his melodies take shape in a sensitive and personal approach, which makes us breathe the fresh air of travel and love.

Always cradled in the arts thanks to an artist-painter mother and a musician father, Valentine Lambert fell in love with the guitar as a teenager, then singing. She then immersed herself in Americana music and the universe of artists like Norah Jones, Bob Dylan or Emmylou Harris, before writing her own songs, in French and in English, to the warm and authentic sound of acoustic instruments.

Faithful to her guitar, which accompanies her everywhere, the young woman delivers sincere and poetic interpretations from his extensive repertoire. First composed of covers, she introduces the public to her first songs in her EP “Un Millénaire”, released in 2018. There are three original compositions and a cover of the title “They changed my song”. She then took a musical break by leaving for 6 months in Australia. There, Valentine continues to compose and write and is already thinking of concretizing the project of a second EP, taking advantage of this adventure on the other side of the world to feed on new encounters. When he returned in 2019, we were able to applaud him in particular as the first part of Delgres and Gaëlle Buswel.

It is in the winter of 2020 that we discover her new single, “The World Falls Apart”, in which she evokes in English and with melancholy, the climate and her concerns through a clip full of delicacy shot on a beach of Vendée.

Curious about mix musical genresshe does not hesitate to break the softness of a guitar-voice to integrate the airy and brilliant sound of the pedal-steel or the rhythm of a catchy pop drums.
