Noemie & Friends? To be taken morning, noon and evening!

The story begins at the Bizanos festivities a dozen years ago. In an improvised musical exchange Noémie meets Willy who has been scouring the stages alongside Pierre, for years, with the duo that needs no introduction. But that day, Pierre is on vacation…
Noémie and Willy tell us the rest in the Live de France Bleu Béarn Bigorre and how the quartet took shape to become Noémie & Friends, with the arrival of Jean and Ludovic, to whom we owe the jazz notes that arise here and there, at the turn of some famous Ragtimes and Blues, but not only…

common pot

Each with their influences brings their stone to a repertoire that aims to be multicultural: sun, sharing, diversity, dance, simplicity, improvisation and the idea of creating an energy in order to bring the public together around a project “of people and music from world”. Very quickly the style takes shape around Louis Amstrong, Violetta Parra, Césaria Evora, Clara Nunes, Bernard Lavilliers, Madona or Françoise Hardy, to name but a few.
But that’s without counting on the Covid.

Not even afraid

As Noémie, Willy, Jean and Ludovic have no limits, after months of frustration they record a CD live, without rehearsal, during a videoconference concert on the web, at the end of confinement. The emotion, the spontaneity and the joy of returning to the stage, even without an audience, and to improvise freely, gives this album a character as unique as all the members of the group.
A long series of concerts follows in various bars, restaurants, parties or festivals. Mainly in the southwest but also in Sète, in September 2021, for the centenary of the birth of Brassens, where Noémie & Friends, appropriate and color in their own way, some pieces of the poet that invite you to travel.
The rest is to be discovered in the Live de France Bleu Béarn Bigorre…
