The AS Saint-Etienne club has still not found a taker. The audit firm KPMG, responsible for studying the files concerning the takeover of AS Etienne, estimated, Tuesday 23 November, through a press release from the shareholders of ASSE, that the legal and financial guarantees provided by the candidates were “insufficient”: “None of the candidates can therefore enter into exclusive negotiations.“Before adding that”the shareholders intend to protect the institution and protect themselves by choosing only offers that provide all the necessary sporting, financial and legal guarantees.“The press release also indicates that new candidates have come forward with”files that meet the requested criteria“.

This summer, the club hoped to sell their club. Among all the rejected candidates, the proposal of the Cambodian prince Ravichak Norodom was not retained. The sales process therefore follows its course.
