“No public holiday when we are in the countryside”. Gabriel Attal asked his ministers and his majority to get more involved in the European election campaign, Tuesday April 30, where the presidential camp is ahead in the polls by the far right, and closely followed by the Socialist Party.
“We must multiply where it is useful. May 9 will be a very big mobilization: each minister will have to make a trip within his ministerial perimeter to promote the European assessment”declared the Prime Minister in front of the first “political committee” of the majority campaign, at the headquarters of the Renaissance party.
A call to “discover” the “weaknesses” of the oppositions
This meeting, in which several ministers participated, focused on three areas: “for what and for what ideal to campaign”, “how we must value the record of the presidential majority which is without equal”and finally “the organization to move forward in the same direction, by being offensive, impactful and effective”.
The majority leader invited members of his party to “talk about Europe” and to “hammer” four themes: agriculture, environment, reindustrialization and defense. He also encouraged them to “discover [les] weaknesses” oppositions, and this “without excitement”. “We are the only ones who can really move Europe forward. We are the only ones who know where we want to take Europe, unlike the “all we have to do is, we have to” on the left and the “one day it’s yes, one day it’s no” from the RN”added the head of government.
