“No one is irreplaceable”, Zazie evokes the absence of Florent Pagny in “The Voice” like never before!

After a five-year hiatus in The Voice, the flagship Saturday evening program on TF1, Zazie has made a comeback among the coaches instead of Florent Pagny. This “boss” of the red chair has, as we unfortunately know, had to leave the media sets for a while to recover from his lung cancer. And deliver an autobiography Pagnyby Florent which, since its release on April 5, 2023 by Fayard editions, has been a real bestseller. But out of sight, out of mind? Interviewed each from their homes by our colleagues from Tele-Leisure, Zazie and Vianney answered frankly to a series of questions about tele-hook but also about their former traveling companion…
If this Saturday, April 29 marks the last salvo of the Battles where Vianney loves to be center stage as he confirms: “I understand the change in feeling, but I think it’s better for everyone. Me, I loved it. It puts more pressure, in a good way. I feel like I was more relevant because I had to be precise, true and courageous.”, her colleague on the set is more mixed: “I agree with Vianney, maybe there is more frankness that way. And not all candidates seek our gaze! Everytime, the battles prevent me from sleeping. The lack of distance makes things more complicated for us and for the talents.

“I admit that I was not necessarily happy to have Florent’s seat!”

And, once again, their thoughts will go to Florent Pagny even if Vianney thinks that his absence is felt above all “for friendship” because “on the technical and musical balance side, the answer is no because everything is new from the moment you change the coaches. Florent is one of the pillars of the program but, as he likes to say, “you shouldn’t try to be bigger than the club”. Adding to regularly hear from him: I had it several times on the phone to give him news of the shoots because I know he is interested. For his part, the interpreter of Zen confirm: “We miss the friend, but no one is irreplaceable, In effect. Afterwards, I admit that I was not necessarily happy to have Florent’s seat! (smile) It’s silly but it’s a matter of respect and admiration. He is going through a rather difficult period (his lung cancer, editor’s note) I called him a lot. He told me: “If you’re in that chair, you’ll take people who have Castafiore voices”. He wasn’t wrong!” she adds, laughing.
