“She had an ordinary appointment with the doctor, who told her that she had to do checks for a small lump in the breast. She then did a mammogram, during which there was a sample. Three weeks later, when we had almost forgotten these examslie, the doctor called us back. That’s when we heard the news.” explained Camille Lacourt last year alongside his sweetheart in an interview with Women Sports.
In January 2020, the young woman won her battle against the disease after having her left breast removed. Last February, she decided to undergo a second mastectomy to prevent a possible recurrence of the disease. “There is a loss of sensitivity that is irreversible. (…) It doesn’t matter, it has to remain secondary, even if the first few days, you have the impression that you will never get used to it. Don’t worry, we adapt very quickly!”she explained on Instagram in August in order to return to the consequences of these two operations.
