Météo-France lifted the orange vigilance for snow and ice in Aveyron, Tarn, Hérault and Aude on Thursday January 11 in its latest report at 4 p.m. Earlier, the alert had been lifted in Cantal and Lozère, which means that no department is anymore on orange “snow-ice” vigilance.

“Precipitation continues to rise from the Mediterranean towards Occitanie with decreasing intensities. It continues to snow at low altitude on the first foothills but the expected quantities no longer justify orange vigilance”specifies the meteorological agency.

Pas-de-Calais also remains on orange alert for floods. Despite the drop in the level of the Canche, “significant overflows can still be observed in the Brimeux sector”according to Vigicrues.
