Météo-France lifted the orange warning for thunderstorms for all departments on Monday, July 15. At the beginning of the day, twenty-four departments were affected by the alert, then seventeen by the end of the day. “The storm front has now moved towards Germany. A few thunderstorms are still possible tonight, but without being violent.”the forecaster specifies in his latest bulletin.

The agency also notes “heavy accumulations of rain in a very short time (…) as these storms pass, often with 20 to 30 mm in less than an hour, up to 50 mm locally”.
