No more crazy prices at McDonald’s?

McDonald’s CEO says 2024 will be an opportunity to make its products more affordable, as the fast food giant’s sales plummet.

According to an article from New York Posta McDonald’s in the state of Connecticut had aroused the passions of Internet users for the price of a trio of Big Macs amounting to US$18.

Note that in Canada, the price of the same product is CA$13.90.

“Customers who earn less than $45,000 per year have mostly stopped eating in our restaurants. Eating at home has become more affordable,” said Chris Kempczinski, CEO of the fast food chain.

One analyst, however, warns that consumers are not yet at the end of their rope, noting that McDonald’s will try to remain “affordable” not by lowering prices, but by offering more discounts.

Another branch of the American chain also made headlines last week for the “derisory” price of an Egg McMuffin at US$7.29.
