No more clashes and time for play. This is the guideline that we wish to follow Endemol for the new formula of Secret Story. Indeed, the emblematic TF1 game, hosted by Benjamin Castaldi then Christophe Beaugrand, is preparing to return on April 23, 2024.
However, many elements will be changed for this new version. No more weekly broadcasts to announce the elimination of a candidate and make way for a daily called “elimination” which will take place every Friday. But this is not the only important change.

More play, less clash
Rémi Faure, director of group flow programs TF1in fact confided during the press conference which took place at the beginning of April, that the candidates will be very different from other years.
“We had to be sure to find the right balance between the values of TF1, the public and the fundamentals of the program at the time. We had quite a few meetings with Endemol France, particularly on casting”he said initially.
While Jean-Louis Blot, president ofEndemol Francewish “something more authentic”Julien DeGroote, director of development and creation at TF1confirms this wish: “Our watchword: play, play, play”.
“Secret Story” for a wider audience
“To accommodate a wider audience, we repositioned the show on gaming. We imagined very funny, ultra-fun games, secret missions that will make viewers laugh. The week will be structured around that. We want get out of this reality TV image to offer a great, good-natured family game”he explains in particular.
Endemol made it clear that Secret Story no longer wanted to offer emblematic clashes like those between Amélie Neten and Senna, Zelko with the other inhabitants of the house of secrets, or even that between Mélanie Dedigama and the twin Anaïs. A game, which will therefore only be devoted to the game… but let’s be wary of appearances as La Voix would say so well.
