A few months after the disappearance of Bernard Tapie, the businessman continues to intrigue in particular about his inheritance. On the eve of the publication of his survey called “Dominique Tapie alone and ruined” for Paris Match, Sophie des Déserts made revelations about her widow on the set of It’s up to you this Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
Asked by Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine if Bernard Tapie’s wife was aware of the latter’s financial situation, the journalist said: “I think she was unaware of the magnitude of the debts that would remain after her husband disappeared until the end. He thought he could reverse the court of justice. He was waiting for this criminal judgment from which he had high hopes. He died 48 hours before the judgment, which is perhaps that he felt that his ideal scenario (…) was ultimately illusory”.
However, the Tapie’s property had been completely seized in 2015. “They gave the impression that everything was as before (…) The good life resumed like in the 80s (…) As one juror in the case said, they were the “most heavenly tramps” of Saint-Germain des Près (…) Everything was seized pending judgment (…) They didn’t even have any more credit cards or checkbooks“said Sophie des Déserts while making it clear that Dominique Tapie would never have heard of all this.
But how did they survive? Did the famous hidden treasure really exist? The specialist was formal: “He had an account that the judge had left him out of humanity and he said that it was also to feed La Provence (…) Through this account, he was able to pay for certain personal expenses. All the creditors are wondering how he was able to maintain this lifestyle (…) reality falls on this family in a terrible way (…) It’s still a story of a woman who morfles”. It remains to be seen whether the principal concerned will confirm these remarks.
