A furniture deliveryman who obviously misjudged the height of a railway viaduct scalped the box from his truck on Wednesday morning in Saint-Lambert, in Montérégie.
The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m., under a railway viaduct which overlooks Avenue Victoria, a stone’s throw from Saint-Lambert station.

The driver of the Tanguay company delivery truck, who was going to a customer’s home to deliver household appliances, in particular, allegedly misjudged the height of the viaduct.

While passing under the structure, the truck’s box was scalped and part of it fell to the ground.

Luckily, no one was injured.
However, a lane of traffic had to be temporarily closed on Avenue Victoria, while the heavy goods vehicle was freed from its unfortunate position.

This type of incident happens “at least” once a year in this location, residents of the area said.
