no exploit for Amilly against Quevilly Rouen Métropole on the 8th lap

No surprise this Saturday afternoon on the lawn of the Stade Georges Clériceau d’Amilly. For the match of 8th round of the French Football Cup, the players of J3 d’Amilly, National 3, received Quevilly Rouen Métropole, Ligue 2. No miracle for the Loirétains, they lost 5-0.

Three goals in seven minutes

After a rather encouraging start to the match, with some missed opportunities from the amillois, Quevilly Rouen Métropole started the second and scored three times in less than ten minutes. It was first Cyril Zabou who opened the scoring in the 19th minute, followed three minutes later by Duckens Nazon. Nathan Dekoke sealed the fate of the Amillois with a third goal in the 25th minute. A blow for the players of Guillaume Coquelin, who fail to reverse the trend. In the cages, 20-year-old Amillois goalkeeper, Melvyn Ravalet, signs all the same beautiful stops.

Quevilly Rouen Métropole drives home the point during the second period with a fourth goal signed Kalidou Sidibé (61st), then a fifth from Bridge Ndilu (82nd).

People in the stands

There were a lot of people in the stands of the little Georges Clériceau d’Amilly stadium. The 1,300 places are full, and many supporters came to give their voice on the edges of the pitch for this historic J3 match which plays for the first time an 8th round of the Coupe de France. A meeting that is all the more important for the coach, Guillaume Coquelin, who coached his 200th match this Saturday.
