“No charter of good conduct” for supporters of Nîmes Olympique after meeting with Rani Assaf

Things are not progressing at Nîmes Olympique! A new meeting took place this Saturday, December 4 at the Costières stadium between the president of Nîmes Olympique Rani Assaf and the leaders of the different groups of supporters, the Gladiators, Nemausus 2013 and the Club Central. No agreement was found on the famous charter of good conduct requested by the club president.

Cyril Roure is president of the Nemausus 2013 supporters group: “Nowadays, no charter of good conduct will be signed. We can get things done without signing a paper. It requires too complex commitments from us on supporters’ chants or on smoke bombs.

Above all, the fan groups generally have the impression that there is no no real will to find a solution :

We feel that there is no good will. The president decided toprevent Gladiators from accessing the East stand until a charter is signed. So as much to say that it will be closed for a long time. Cyril Roure, president of Nemausus 2013.

This second meeting took place without the elected officials of the town hall, unlike the first.According to the president of Nemausus 2013, the mayor Jean-Paul Fournier is playing a double game:

I think the mayor wants to get rid of certain things. There are two issues for the town hall: one is economic with a big real estate project which will make the city shine and then the Nîmes Olympique club which can change future electoral deadlines. They are sitting in the middle, one buttock on each rung and I’m afraid it will tumble but on the wrong side. Cyril Roure, president of Nemausus 2013
