All-dressed Nita makes Montreal’s gourmet sandwiches even more interesting and generous. We tasted one of the best veggie pâtés there is, enhanced with onion confit, a crispy schnitzel covered with a creamy coleslaw or even a chicken salad with homemade harissa, among others.
All of these delicious toppings are deposited in one of two buns developed by chef Jesse MacDonald, the rye and the “bap”. The place opens from 7 am (Wednesday to Sunday), a selection of breakfast sandwiches is also on the menu.
But the new Mile End address isn’t just a sandwich shop. She is also a wine merchant, with take-away wines largely from the portfolios of three others of the many owners of the place, namely Marc Bungarten and Gabriel Monnin (Dutty Wine), then Nicolas Despeyroux (Vins Nomad). The simple menu at Nita

Third important component of Nita: coffee. Marc Bungarten (also co-owner of Bar Henrietta) being a big filter lover, you won’t find espresso here. It’s his longtime friend, the roaster of Anchored Coffee in Halifax, who supplies the single-origin beans to Nita. We assure you that the infusion is perfect, here. It brings out all the fruity and spicy notes, in short, the complexity of the coffee. With one of Jesse’s cookies, it’s the perfect break. But if you prefer a cool drink, there are also soft drinks made on site.
The all-star team has even thought of an ingenious solution to your spontaneous aperitifs: several of its garnishes – brandade, onion confit, cheese with herbs, mushroom spread – are available in small containers to take away, until the closing at 6 p.m. They go well with focaccia or homemade croutons. With a beautiful white Savoy keel, a bubble or a fruity red, it is the perfect introduction to an evening with friends. Nita is really ALL dressed!
