Ninety-five, Angèle | The duty

Angèle had a heavy heart and does not hesitate to express her doubts and sorrows on Ninety-five, his second record. If the album is no different from Brol in his dancing pop song (always concocted with the help of the French composer and co-director Tristan Salvati), he stands out by the tone of the ballads and by the spleen that inhabits him. We will first remember Taxi, story of love breakup served piano-voice at the heart of the album, shortly after the remarkable Solo, bittersweet pop song, disillusioned but dancing. On Right words at the end of the album, Angèle is inspired by Barbara’s flow, accompanied by an upright piano and the most daring electronic production of the album, and again on Bad dreams : “I have them in my skin, I see them even when I sleep / But this time it’s the one too many, I will never be afraid of it again / And my dreams are shipwrecks that drag me to a nightmare” . Fortunately, there is the perfect Brussels I love you, More sense and the excellent duet with Damso (Demons) to tone this successful, but careful disc.
