Hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 have started to rise again in the last hours, according to health authorities, who also announced nine new deaths.
Of the new deaths announced on Wednesday, two occurred two to seven days ago, while seven date back more than seven days.
Since the start of the pandemic, 18,153 Quebecers have lost their lives as a result of the disease.
Hospitalizations related to the disease have also increased by 25 since the day before, for a total of 1,341 patients. Among them, 446 receive care specifically for the disease.
Five people have been added to the intensive care balance sheet, which stands at 31, including 15 patients who are being treated for COVID-19.
Nearly 1,900 healthcare professionals were absent from work related to the disease.
The number of new cases remained stable, at 513, but remember that this data is only fragmentary, since the screening centers are reserved for priority clienteles.
Quebecers also reported 34 rapid tests on Tuesday, including 31 that turned out to be positive.
On the vaccination side, 2,262 additional doses were administered on Tuesday.
