The two former French first ladies (the first never really was because she was not married to François Hollande but still lived at the Élysée for almost two years) have become friends for several years, point that the journalist Paris Match and radio columnist was informed of the singer’s breast cancer, which she revealed to the general public about ten days ago, on the occasion of Pink October : “Carla Bruni had the courage to reveal her breast cancer. We talked about it recently while we are looking for funds together to fight the osteosarcoma from which little Maxence suffered. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s very moving Instagram post hit the mark: with a series of photocopied sheets, the former First Lady revealed having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019which she has since fought, calling on women over 50 to get tested to avoid tragedies: “Surgery, radiotherapy, hormonal therapy, I followed the usual path to treat this type of cancer. But I was lucky: my cancer was not aggressive. For what ? Because he didn’t have time to become one.” explained the wife of Nicolas Sarkozy and mother of Giulia, who was 52 years old at the time of the diagnosis.
A friendship that does not date from yesterday
