Nicolas Sarkozy, in dedication to Neuilly for his book, refuses to comment on his indictment

No comment. Nicolas Sarkozy did not wish to comment on his legal agenda on Saturday October 7, the day after his indictment in the investigation into possible fraudulent maneuvers to exonerate him from suspicions of Libyan financing of his 2007 presidential campaign. “I’m doing what I’ve always done, sharing memories, thoughts, friendship with people who wanted to come”declared the former head of state during a signing of his latest book in a bookstore in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine). “It has nothing to do with the schedule for this week or the following week”he added.

Nicolas Sarkozy was indicted on Friday for concealment of witness tampering and criminal association with a view to preparing trial fraud by an organized gang. This decision, which opens the way to a trial in a fourth case for the former tenant of the Elysée, concluded three and a half days of interrogation by two financial magistrates responsible for investigating the case.
