Nicolas Laurcie, football and multisport section educator

The idea is to socialize, to live together, to have different roles in relation to each other, but to have a common goal.

Multisport

It’s a team sport, for some children it’s the first time they’ve been in a group outside of school. The idea is to socialize, to live together, to have different roles in relation to each other, but to have a common goal. It then allows in everyday life, to be more comfortable in group life.

In football, we strive to develop all the technical motor skills that the child uses to practice the activity, but also, all around, to live together. The children during the sessions are also referees and discover the management of a match, enforce the rules and also respect them. All this is a learning that is close to the heart of multisport educators.

There are also examples at the high level, very great sportsmen started with multisports and then specialized. It is true that each sport tries to capture licensees as soon as possible. But we realize that with a slightly different approach, children stay in the activity more often and tend to injure themselves less. So it’s all beneficial for everyone.

The football section

In terms of the football section, we have more to do with players who are destined for the elite. Multisports are used during summer preparation to do cohesion courses, for team spirit, to live together. The players participate in different activities: boxing, wrestling, judo, rugby. They are thus placed in different environments and, through the skills they have developed in football, they can transcribe them on these activities. In this multi-activity, it is more team spirit and solidarity that are sought after.

ASM Omnisports in 110 years according to Nicolas Laurcie

Intergenerational. That is to say that we can _come to the stadium with the family_, from the youngest to parents to grandparents, to practice different activities at the same time. You could imagine that while the children are playing soccer, the parents are doing muscle building and the grandparents are working on memory or coordination. This is what I would like to see in 110 years
