Nicolas Hulot is heard by the courts this Tuesday afternoon, announces the Paris prosecutor’s office. The former Minister of Ecological Transition, accused of rape and sexual assault, left public life for good last November. Several women had testified in a report by Envoyé Spécial, broadcast on France 2. The ecologist is heard on this subject in free hearing, by the investigators of the Brigade for the protection of minors (BPM).
An investigation was opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office in the process. At least six womens then accused the ex-host of rape or sexual assault, including a minor at the time of the facts. She decided to file a complaint.
The complainant, Sylvia, indicated that she had been sexually assaulted in 1989 at the age of 16 years by Nicolas Hulot, in the latter’s car, after having been invited to attend a program he was then hosting in Paris. The former minister had denied these accusations.
