This is a fine example of a Chinon full of fruit and freshness, which is also very good value for money.
It is undeniably Cabernet Franc, with its purplish color and fragrant nose that harmoniously combines fruity, floral, vegetal and mineral notes. This Nicolas Grosbois La Cuisine de ma Mère Chinon 2021 has aromas of strawberry and raspberry, rose, violet, cedar and pencil lead that intertwine on the nose. The palate shows radiance, all in freshness, with a crunchy fruitiness. Moderate, ripe and firm tannins contribute chewiness.
A very dry and tasty wine that appeals to the table: charcuterie, roast pork with red cabbage, roast chicken and root vegetables, risotto with green vegetables or mushrooms. Serve slightly chilled.
