Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, presidential candidate and opponent of the health pass, confirmed Monday December 20 to have been diagnosed positive for Covid-19 and claims to have gone into isolation immediately.

The leader of Debout la France explains that he carried out a test, in order to take a train, which turned out negative on Thursday, December 9, but suffered from symptoms on Friday, December 10. He was then diagnosed positive for Covid-19.

He rejects the accusations of concealing his state of health from people he had known in the days preceding his contamination. According to Release, the deputy “knew each other in case of contact” from his wife for several days before her positive diagnosis “and yet continued to participate in meetings” in the National Assembly.

The latter qualifies as “pure slander” the accusation of the daily, claiming to have known the case of his wife’s contact on the evening of Thursday, December 9, then to have isolated himself. According to the unsuccessful 2017 presidential candidate, all the people in the “48 hours” preceding his positive test were warned, in particular those encountered during a trip to Lorraine on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 December. The president of Debout la France had told a passerby, during a trip last November, that he was not “not vaccinated”.
