“After careful consideration”the sovereignist leader, credited with around 2% of voting intentions by polls, explains having concluded that “[son] role is to be in the National Assembly”. “At a time when France is bankrupt and there is this conflict [entre l’Ukraine et la Russie]my job is to defend a certain idea of France and to prepare for the following deadlines which seem much more important to me than the European ones.”justified the deputy.
Nicolas Dupont-Aignan declared a few weeks ago that he was missing half a million euros to finance a European campaign. In addition to the far-right lists led by the RN and Reconquête, several sovereignist lists have been announced for the June 9 election, notably those of the defender of Frexit, François Asselineau, or the former number 2 of the FN (now RN), Florian Philippot. The latter are around 0.5% of voting intentions in the various polls.
