For the third time, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan is running for president. Eleven days before the first ballot, the candidate of the Debout La France movement! is aimed primarily at “anti-Macron”. Because in the hit parade of anti-Macron candidates, we jostle at the gate. Except that Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, he wants to unite the most anti-Macron of anti-Macron! And there is urgency, because to listen to him, for five years, we have been living in a dictatorship. “Health Dictatorship” under the Covid, “media dictatorship” which aims to gag him, “cultural dictatorship” imposed by right-thinking people, and so on. Dictatorship in France, but not in Russia: Nicolas Dupont-Aignan has always supported Putin and also calls on Ukrainian President Zelensky to let go.
In France, this “dictatorship”, it is however the third time that he has presented himself: he has collected modest scores, 1.7% in 2012, 4.7% five years ago. And his concern is that this time there is a traffic jam on the right and on the far right with a Le Pen candidacy, as always for 50 years, but also the candidacy of Eric Zemmour.
Nicolas Dupont-Aignan calls himself a Gaullist, of course. And moreover a bit like everyone else. Except that in 2017, he joined Marine Le Pen between the two towers. The far-right candidate had promised her Matignon in the event of victory. And this year, he is supported by the ex-right arm of Marine Le Pen, Florian Philippot, the head of the anti-pass in the street every Saturday since last summer. Basically, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan tries to recover all the anger that has been expressed, in the street, sometimes violently, for five years, that of the “yellow vests”, but also that of the antipass and the antivax.
Enarque, member of numerous ministerial cabinets, deputy for 25 years, he repeats that he is a candidate “against the caste and against the oligarchy which oppresses the French people”. The proof, if he is elected, he will appoint Professor Raoult to the Ministry of Health and he repeats again today, against scientific evidence, that the best treatment against Covid is hydroxychloroquine.
Nicolas Dupont-Aignan is already denouncing a “rigged election”. Or rather an election “rigged from A to Z”, he said citing the 500 referrals. We don’t really know why, especially since he gets them without difficulty every time. Or even denouncing the speaking time, whereas after the rule of equity, it is the rule of total equality which applies during these two weeks, as with each ballot. Basically, that’s probably why we see that we don’t yet live completely in a dictatorship: it’s when we see a candidate denouncing it head on and off, without being, fortunately, the least worried of the world.
