Niçoise Alizé Cornet reaches the 8th of the Australian Open for the first time since 2009

Alizé Cornet, 61st player in the world, had to work in the 3rd round of the Australian Open tennis to overcome the Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, better ranked (29th). The Niçoise lost the first set 4-6 tonight, French time, but won the next two 6-4, 6-2, and therefore passed in the round of 16 of the tournament for the first time since… 2009! A beautiful birthday present that the Azurean offers herself, on her 32nd birthday.
