Environment Minister Benoit Charette announces the establishment of a working group to paint a picture of air quality in the Port of Québec sector.

Quebec wants to increase the nickel concentration standard in the air. Due to the concerns of the citizens of Limoilou in Quebec, the government announces the formation of a task force.
“I am aware of the concerns,” said Minister Charette. The recommendations of the working group will however be known after the increase in the nickel standard. Moreover, this is not a group that will focus solely on nickel, but on all contaminants.
“The element nickel is one element among others.”
A new sampling station will be installed in Limoilou, also indicated the minister.
