An inmate of the Nice prison, located in the city center, set fire to his cell. Very quickly, the guards intervened. The man was injured in the arm. He was transported to the emergency room of the Pasteur hospital under “prison guard”. He was then placed in police custody to answer the facts. An investigation has been opened to understand the gesture. This prisoner, in special detention, isolated because of his psychological situation, has returned to the remand center but now benefits from reinforced surveillance for the night.
