Niagara by Guillaume Lambert awarded at Whistler





niagara won Guillaume Lambert the Best Screenplay Award at the Whistler Film Festival in British Columbia. Joelle Desjardins (Rodeo) and Katherine Jerkovic (Coyote) also stood out.


In niagara, François Pérusse, Guy Jodoin and Éric Bernier play three brothers forced to reconnect after the accidental death of their father during an “Ice Bucket Challenge”. Guillaume Lambert the screenplay and production of this dramatic comedy which was released in September.

Katherine Jerkovic won Best Canadian Feature Film for Coyotewhich had its world premiere in Toronto earlier this year, and which tells the story of Camilo (Jorge Martinez Colorado), a lonely immigrant who is rebuilding his life in a restaurant in La Malbaie when he has to take charge of a grandson whom he did not know.

Rodeo, which will be released in February, won the prize for best director for Joëlle Desjardins, whose first feature film it is. It stars Maxime Le Flaguais and Lilou Roy-Lanouette.
