NHL | The Winter Classic will return to Chicago’s Wrigley Field in 2025

(Chicago) The Winter Classic will return to Wrigley Field in Chicago in 2025, the National Hockey League announced Wednesday.

The St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks will face each other in this second outdoor game held at the home of the Cubs. The first took place on 1er January 2009.

The exact date has not been announced. Three College Football Playoff games are scheduled for the 1er next January, so the NHL could choose another day to maximize television audiences.

The Kraken defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in this year’s Winter Classic, held at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.

The Blackhawks are struggling this season, but Connor Bedard is one of the league’s emerging young stars.

The 18-year-old center is currently rested due to a broken jaw, but the first selection in the last draft has scored 15 goals and totaled 33 points in 39 games so far.

The Blackhawks will host their third Winter Classic and will participate in a fifth. They still haven’t won it.

The Blues will take part for a third time. They beat the Blackhawks 4-1 at Busch Stadium in 2017, then the Minnesota Wild 6-4 at Target Field in 2022.
