NHL | The All-Star Game will be hosted by the Islanders in 2026

(New York) The 2026 All-Star Game will take place in New York, at the home of the Islanders, the Bettman circuit announced on Sunday.

The league made the announcement during the first intermission of the game between the Rangers and the Islanders at MetLife Stadium.

There will be no All-Star weekend next year. Earlier this month, the NHL announced that in February 2025, there will instead be the 4 Nations Showdown.

The tournament will involve players from Canada, the United States, Finland and Sweden, from February 12 to 20.

A total of seven matches will be played in two North American cities, one in Canada and one in the United States.

Each team will be made up of 23 NHL players, including three goalies. They will be chosen by each national hockey federation.

Each team will play three preliminary matches.

Three points will be awarded for a victory in regular time, two points for a victory in overtime or a shootout, and one point for a defeat in overtime or a shootout.

The two clubs with the best record will then face each other in the final.
