The year 2022 has only just begun, but now it is already bringing great sporting stories. A Vancouver Canucks staff member learned from a spectator that he had malignant melanoma.
The Canadian training published a letter that quickly went viral on social networks on Saturday afternoon. Written by Assistant Equipment Manager Brian “Red” Hamilton, the letter was addressed to a bystander who “changed her life”.
“I’m trying to find a very special person and I need the help of the hockey community to find them,” it read. To this woman I’m trying to find you changed my life and now I want to say a huge thank you. ”
“The problem is, I don’t know who you are or where you come from,” he continued. What I do know is that you were sitting behind the Canucks bench the night the Seattle Kraken played their very first home game in history. That night, October 23, and the message you showed me on your cell phone will forever be remembered and changed my life and that of my family. ”
This message told her of a mole on her neck which the viewer said was malignant melanoma. And his instincts turned out to be good, Hamilton says. “Thanks to your persistence and the quick work of our doctors, it’s now gone,” he said.
In his letter, the assistant to the equipment manager insisted that this story “is not about [lui] ”, But“ about an amazing person who took the time to notice something disturbing and find a way to tell me during the chaos of a hockey game ”.
“We are looking for this incredible person and we need you to share this with your friends and family, to help us find a real heroine, so that I can express my sincere gratitude to her”, it read. in the letter posted at around 12.50 p.m.

In another tweet, a lady said the woman was found via a Facebook group dedicated to the Seattle Kraken. It was the mother of the spectator who came forward.
” Oh my God ! It was my daughter! she wrote. She has just been accepted into several medical schools. We have season tickets behind the opposing team’s bench and she noticed the mole on his neck so she wrote a message on her cell phone and then put it on the glass to get her attention. ”
“He looked quickly and nodded,” she said. We haven’t thought about it since. It is absolutely amazing! She will be at the game tonight. I am so happy to hear this news! ”
