“It’s unfortunate, but we’re going to try to do what we have to do and control what we can control, reacted Blues head coach Craig Berube on Saturday when confirming the absence of Krug in front of the media. The other guys have to be ready to go out there and get the job done.”

In Friday’s third game, Krug had to leave in the first period after forward Matt Boldy was checked in the neutral zone.

“It’s difficult for the defense, difficult for the team, admitted then Berube, after the defeat of 5 to 1 of his, Friday evening. We lost our quarterback on the power play and that’s it.”

During Friday’s game, Justin Faulk and Colton Parayko had to make up for part of Krug’s absence on the blue line by each playing for more than 27 minutes. The only goal for the Blues, in the third period, was nevertheless scored on the power play. Forward Ryan O’Reilly hit the target after being fed by Parayko.
