NHL playoffs | The Avalanche force the holding of a seventh game

(Seattle) Artturi Lehkonen scored twice into an empty net and the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Friday, forcing Game 7 of the first-round series.

Mikko Rantanen scored his seventh goal since the start of the playoffs.

He tied the game 1-1 at 19:40 in the first period after Vince Dunn netted. This became the 14e Kraken scorer since the start of the playoffs.

In the past two periods, the Avalanche have shown the stuff that made them last year’s Stanley Cup champions.

Erik Johnson was the other scorer for the winners, while Devon Toews and Cale Makar each provided two assists.

The final game will be presented Sunday in Denver, at 9:30 p.m.

This will be the first game number 7 in the young history of the Kraken, which played a first season in 2021-22.

Winning goaltender, Alexandar Georgiev made 22 saves. Philipp Grubauer stopped 35 shots.
