(Raleigh) Leading 3-0 early in the middle period, the Islanders collapsed and the Carolina Hurricanes beat New York 5-3 on Monday, taking a 2-0 lead in this first-round series in ballast.
The visitors had a 3-2 cushion when Sebastian Aho and Jordan Martinook scored nine seconds apart, starting at 17:45 in the third period.
Aho deflected a shot from Andrei Svechnikov then, following a turnover, Martinook scored after beating Noah Dobson.
