NHL playoffs | Golden Knights win Game 5 against Oilers

The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in Game 5 and took a 3-2 series lead, which returns to Edmonton for Game 6.


Jack Eichel had a strong game with a goal and two assists for the Golden Knights. Reilly Smith, Mark Stone and Nicolas Hague scored the other Golden Knights nets.

Jonathan Marchessault had three assists in the win, while goaltender Adin Hill stopped 31 shots.

Connor McDavid scored two goals for the Oilers. Zach Hyman scored the other goal for his team and got an assist. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Evan Bouchard had two assists.

Stuart Skinner was replaced by Jack Campbell after making 18 saves on 22 shots. Campbell blocked nine shots.

The Golden Knights scored three goals in the second period and then never looked back.
