NHL playoffs | Another ultimate match awaits the Kraken

In the playoffs for the first time, the Seattle Kraken will already be in a second final game on Monday night in Dallas.

“I think the pressure is on both clubs,” said Jordan Eberle of the Kraken, scoring twice in a 6-3 win Saturday.

The challenge is to face the Edmonton Oilers or the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Final.

In the East, the Carolina Hurricanes will face the Florida Panthers, after advances in five games for each side.

Stars driver Peter DeBoer is undefeated in six No. 7 games, at the helm of three different teams.

Five victories were won at home and the other in 2020, in the bubble in Canada.

“The goal every season is to get in position for a seventh game in front of our fans,” DeBoer said. We deserved it. Hopefully we’ll enjoy it too. »

The Kraken won Colorado in the first round. Oliver Bjorkstrand scored twice in the final game, while Yanni Gourde provided two assists. The defending Stanley Cup champions were thus eliminated.

“I’m sure you can get something out of it, but every series is different,” Kraken coach Dave Hakstol said.

Joe Pavelski has already scored eight goals against Seattle, setting a Stars record for a given series.

He leads the Americans with 72 career playoff goals.

The 38-year-old athlete will be at a 10e ultimate game. Only nine active players can say the same.
