Quebecer Patrice Bergeron will continue his career with the Boston Bruins for at least another season, the organization revealed Monday morning.

The 37-year-old will earn at least $2.5 million in 2022-23. He could get $2.5 million more in bonuses if he reaches certain performance thresholds. According to the TVA Sports channel’s hockey expert, $1 million was paid as a signing bonus.
Last year, the center player scored 25 goals and amassed 65 points in 73 games.
Bergeron had 400 goals and 982 points in 1,216 games in the National Hockey League (NHL), all with the Boston Bruins. He won five Selke Trophies – a league-high in history – and a Stanley Cup in 2011.
