(New York) Tampa Bay Lightning right winger Nikita Kucherov, Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid, and Florida Panthers left winger Matthew Tkachuk were named the three stars of the last week in the NHL.
Kucherov led the Bettman circuit with nine points, including four goals, in addition to finishing tied for first place with a plus-7 differential in three games, including his 25e career four-point game. He currently leads the league in scoring with 85 points (32-53).
McDavid finished the week with eight points, including four goals in three games, helping the Oilers extend their winning streak to 16, one short of the NHL record set by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1992-93.
Tkachuk also scored four goals and had four assists, but in four games, all won by the Panthers, to extend his streak of games with at least one point to five.
