NHL: Juuso Valimaki extends his stay in Arizona

Juuso Valimaki became a season regular with the Arizona Coyotes’ defensive squad, who signed him to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

According to Elliotte Friedman, of the Sportsnet channel, the 24-year-old Finn will receive $1 million. His remuneration will therefore be down, since the rear had initialed in 2021 a contract for two campaigns and $ 3.1 million.

Valimaki was a first-round pick – the 16th selection overall – in the 2017 National Hockey League (NHL) draft. Since then, he has totaled five goals and 28 points in 125 games.

This season, he’s hit the target twice while adding 10 assists in 43 outings. He showed a differential of -10 and was used an average of 14:59 per game by head coach André Tourigny.
