(Calgary) The Calgary Flames have signed forward Adam Klapka to a one-year contract extension, the Alberta club announced Monday.
This two-part pact will allow him to pocket US$750,000 in the NHL.
Klapka appeared in six games for the Flames last season, scoring his first NHL goal on April 18 in a 5-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.
The 23-year-old led the Flames’ Calgary Wranglers last season with 21 goals and 25 assists, while posting a plus-8 rating — second best on his team.
He added seven points (2-5) to his record in six Calder Cup playoff games.
Klapka, from Prague, Czech Republic, originally signed with the Flames as a free agent on May 16, 2022.
