NHL | End of contract coming for Adam Ruzicka

The Arizona Coyotes did not hang around in the Adam Ruzicka case.

Hours after a video appeared on social media showing the player in the presence of drugs, including what appears to be cocaine, the Coyotes placed Ruzicka on waivers with the goal of terminating his contract.

The team made the announcement in a brief message on Friday, before specifying that it would make “no further comment at this time”.

The forward was claimed off waivers on January 24 by the Coyotes, after a start to the season with 3 goals and 6 assists in 39 games with the Calgary Flames. He had only played three games in Arizona, without obtaining any points.

The Slovakian would become a restricted free agent in the summer. The choice of 4e tour in 2017 by the Flames totals 14 goals and 26 assists in 117 games in the NHL.
