(New York) Defensemen monopolized the NHL’s three stars of the week on Monday after Roman Josi of the Nashville Predators, Brandon Montour of the Florida Panthers and Josh Morrissey of the Winnipeg Jets earned the honours.
Josi scored three goals and four assists in three games for the Predators last week as the Tennessee team extended its winning streak to eight.
He notably collected three points in a 4-1 victory against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, and three more in a 6-1 victory against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.
Montour added two goals – victorious – and four assists to his record, while the Panthers signed three victories and moved to the top of the overall NHL standings.
For his part, Morrissey scored a goal and collected six assists in four games with the Jets, who won three of these duels and climbed to the top of the Central section.
