The St. Louis Blues did get their hands on forward Kevin Hayes from the Philadelphia Flyers, giving up a sixth-round pick in the 2024 draft in return.
According to journalist Frank Seravalli, the forward’s former team will pay half his salary in the last three years of his contract. The 31-year-old hockey player will receive more than $7 million annually, as has been the case since 2019-2020.

However, the transaction could conceal further developments; NHL Network hockey expert Kevin Weekes reported that another element could eventually be added. However, last week, the two organizations concerned would have discussed the case of the rear of the Blues Torey Krug, according to information issued by the magazine “The Hockey News”. The veteran would also have refused to lift his non-exchange clause, aborting a transfer project.
Hayes had 18 goals and 36 assists for 54 points in 81 games during the most recent regular season. The former New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets played four seasons in eastern Pennsylvania. He has two productions of 20 goals or more in his career.
