The Saudi championship continues its shopping. After Cristiano Ronaldo this winter, and especially Karim Benzema at the end of spring, it’s N’Golo Kanté’s turn to give in to the sirens of the kingdom of Mohammed Ben Salmane. The French international, free of any contract after seven seasons at Chelsea, signed up with Al-Ittihad on Wednesday June 21. “The arrival of Kanté is considered one of the most prestigious and significant recruitments in the history of the club”welcomed the club by sending him its best wishes for “hit”.
Aged 32, but increasingly hampered by injuries, the 2018 world champion is coming out of an almost white season (only 9 games played), during which he was unable to hold his place during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He has 53 selections
Club based in Jeddah and defending champion of Saudi Arabia, Al-Ittihad thus welcomes its second Blue winner of the Champions League in a few weeks after the signing of Karim Benzema. The Ballon d’Or has also delivered a welcome message to his compatriot, still on the social networks of the Saudi club.
N’Golo Kanté, trained in the Paris region, will thus discover his fifth club, after Boulogne, Caen Leicester and Chelsea.
