Many products contain palm oil, despite its impact on the environment. The NGO Foodwatch highlights several products.
Palm oil can be found in almost every supermarket aisle. There are some in rusks, biscuits or even cereals. This cheap fat is very popular with manufacturers, but criticized for its environmental impact. The NGO Foodwatch denounces this omnipresence by targeting ten products that contain it, including sugary drinks.
“For the food industry, it is above all a question of profits. And while it knows the devastation for biodiversity, for the environment, the problems for human rights and for health, it continues to use it and use too much”explains Audrey Morice, Foodwatch campaign manager.
