For his 40e anniversary, Just for Laughs opens on Monday Galleria, an online shopping platform from NFT for works related to humor.
In particular, the “very first recorded laugh” will be auctioned off at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. In this new non-fungible token (NFT) space, humor lovers to own their piece of history in digital art form.
The platform is now open and The Victor Collection is up for auction starting at $ 14. This digital artwork set features Just for Laughs mascot Victor. The inaugural Galleria auction will take place December 7-9. During this first auction, the Laughter that started it all will be put up for sale, starting at $ 500.
This unique token presents animated 3D images moving to the rhythm and sound of the very first laugh recorded during the first gala of the Just for Laughs Festival, in July 1983, at the Théâtre St-Denis in Montreal.
The highest bidder will receive as a bonus a VIP trip for two to the 2022 Just for Laughs Festival, from any location in the world.
