NFL | The Titans defeat the Dolphins 31-12

(Miami) Mason Rudolph orchestrated seven offensive drives that led to points after starting quarterback Will Levis left the game with a shoulder injury Monday, and the Tennessee Titans defeated the Dolphins from Miami 31-12.

Rudolph completed nine of 17 passes for 85 yards in relief of Levis, who attempted only four passes before getting a first down with a run that left him injured. He remained on the sideline but did not return to the game.

Nick Folk made field goals of 53, 52, 47, 51 and 29 yards for the Titans (1-3), who won their first game this season. Running back Tyjae Spears received the ball straight from the middle for a seven-yard run that ended in the end zone.

Tony Pollard also scored a major, making 22 carries for 88 yards.

Tyler Huntley, who agreed to a contract with the Dolphins on September 17 while on the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, scored a rushing touchdown and passed for 96 yards. But the Dolphins’ offensive unit once again struggled in the absence of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is sidelined with a new concussion.

Huntley knew Saturday that he was going to start the game since the organization’s second quarterback, Skylar Thompson, is suffering from a rib injury.

Huntley led the Dolphins (1-3) to the Titans’ 10-yard line before scoring a one-yard touchdown with 3 minutes 40 seconds left. However, he suffered an interception on a two-point conversion attempt, then the Titans recovered the ball on the ensuing short kick.

Huntley was then penalized for throwing away the ball in the end zone on the Dolphins’ final offensive drive, giving the Titans two final points.

Tyreek Hill was held to fewer than 50 yards for a third straight game, settling for 23 yards on four catches.

The Dolphins have never led a game this season. Their only victory came when Jason Sanders scored with a field goal on the final play of the first game of the campaign.
